R&S - the reel and shaft handling company...

Since the late 1990s Stephen Weston, MD of Reel and Shaft Handling has been at the forefront of some important developments in the converting industries of reels and airshafts as well as the paper, film + foil and packaging sectors.

After winning awards for some of their early work, R+S Handling have moved on to work on a safety device for pregnant women in cars (UK Patent Awarded, Internationl Patent Pending). R+S Handling have used Wild Country’s expertise in the harness sector to develop the ergonomic and safety features of the harness, and at the moment of writing are in the throws of bringing the product to market.

The Reel & Shaft Handling Company's Managing Director Stephen Weston commented;

"We had developed our proof-of-concept prototypes of the patented Pregnancy Seatbelt Harness in house and reached as far as we could without moving to realistic prototypes.

Wild Country were able to utilise their vast experience of designing, prototyping and manufacturing world class climbing harnesses to quickly understand the concept and produce several prototypes in rapid succession, suitable for testing through to certification.
